    - 22 frets (jumbo), two single coil pickups, Seymour Duncan brand (one in the neck position and the second in the bridge position)
    - Vintage bridge with 3 saddles for harmonic settings, etc ...
    - 1 volume knob, 1 tone knob, a 3-position switch (neck, neck-bridge, bridge) - currently, the config of origin of a TV.
    - Manche "birdeye" (speckled) profile "C", maple fingerboard.

    - Gets it easy to sound good? ... It's a TELE = = D

    SOUNDS

    - It suits my style (pop / rock)
    - I still play on a small 15W amp, but I plan to buy a 100W (with Marshall, I think ...) and for the moment, it suits me perfectly.
    - It's a versatile guitar, it adapts to all playing styles, techniques (tapping very nice - just to name a technique -)

    OVERALL OPINION

I bought the guitar at a private early last September (2007) was a disaster ... A huge sticker was stuck on the table (towards the bridge), the tone knob was screwed badly, the input jack was bent, and some paint chips in places, but other than that, the guitar was still well maintained . At the price it costs (in a French music store) right now, it approaches the € 600 (less on Thomann, 400 ...), I think I got it for 350 €.

Of course, after the investment (whether in OCCAZ 'or nine), a TV to defects ... For my part, I replaced the input jack with another, much stronger, I screwed the tone knob, tighten the screws for the strap.

The input jack "classic" in the Lite Ash

The new input jack (much stronger)

Photos that are present on the net are wrong (especially the logo, which is not the same on the site off of Fender or Fender in the mag)

And finally, the real logo "Fender"

That's the opinion of the "Lite Ash Telecaster Special Edition". Feel free to contact me if you want more info on the guitar

    Good guitar at all!

For detailed specifications, see the website of Fender.

    Otherwise:

Telecaster pickups with two singles, all that is more "conventional". One volume, one tone, 3-position selector.

The neck is maple and has a profile c.

    UTILIZATION

As normal, I use an Ibanez mahogany in HH (SH4 the bridge) and last year I ordered a Squier Affinity Tele, maple neck. Since I'm in love with this type of handle.

I am therefore pleased by purchasing one of the last Lite Ash "discoverable" and I do not regret!

Channel ultra nice except some frets that cut a little (really little). A quick file and voila.

Direct ownership but it needs to be tamed, you must master it and that's what make…

You plug and Rock'n Roll Baby!

Tip 1: Replace the strings directly. With the original one falls in love but by replacing the "right strings", so there .... enjoy!

Tip 2: properly shielded the cavities with copper, it costs nothing! If you do well, no more problem of mass and it was a sound "more beautiful"! :-)

    SOUNDS

Well ... what about more than others think it is quite addictive though small.

EAs are doing their job, especially in the intermediate position where the sounds are clear to pee I think.

The bridge pickup can seem garish, but the tone is doing its job .. really good. Otherwise, he slams good and punchy enough I think. It was not the humbucker but it is fantastically good road.

The neck pickup is a little "dark", I found the board a bit.

Apart from that, we sound "tele" which sends the wood as they say. I find this type of sound "simple and extremely effective." A good amp, the Lite Ash and what else?

Otherwise, there are ways to "almost" do it all ... no worries!

    OVERALL OPINION

I have long wanted a telecaster for a simple and effective and also for the look and of course I am fond of this race.

I'm no style to put huge sums of guitars and the Lite Ash met all my criteria. Apart from the frets that can cut a bit ... I do not know what to say bad about this guitar.

For 500 € you have a really good guitar. She has a "real" sound and was not afraid to use it as it should not be afraid to make a sparkle in it. I do not want to put more and I do not see what's the point.

If you are looking for a good guitar with his character ... look no further!

    LUV IT!

Fender Special Edition Lite Ash TelecasterPublished on 09/26/10 at 15:19
Fender made in Korea, Seymour pickups, 1 vol, 1 tone... but everybody knows that.
In my view, the only defect is a poor shielding, but that can be quickly fixed with an aluminum sheet. The birdseye maple neck + fretboard are really nice.

    UTILIZATION

The neck is nice, the weight is perfectly distributed.
You need some time to get familiar with it: A Tele is not an easy guitar to play and even less so to make it sound!

    SOUNDS

It sounds great clean, it's amazing!
I play it mainly with a Traynor or with a Palmer pocket amp.
With the bridge pickup and the Tone to the max on the neck pickup, I add a heavy distortion and it sounds awesome!!! (yes, yes, even Obituary works!)

With a blue box you get a killer sound...

    OVERALL OPINION

I've been using it since 2005, it's a 2004 model. It will get a patina over time, which is fine because I had a hard time getting a good feeling with the neck. You just need to let it age a bit. This is the only guitar I use for clean sounds and the only one with single-coils, the rest of the time I have EMG 81s, which will stay with me until death do us apart. I just love it. It turns 10 this year and it just sounds better and better.
I paid $780 back then, which seems a good deal. I would buy it again with my eyes closed. I wanted to make it active (Emg) but after thinking it over, I decided to leave it "as is.". The only mod I did was to add some shielding with the aluminum sheet to control the buzz when playing distortion. If you find one secondhand, go for it!!!

Fender Special Edition Lite Ash TelecasterPublished on 03/14/09 at 05:00
(Originally written by damiansdick/translated from Audiofanzine FR)
    Made in South Korea.

    Natural finish.

    Lite Ash body

    Birdseye maple neck

    Classic Fender Telecaster bolt-on neck

    22 classic Fender Telecaster frets

    Classic Fender Telecaster hardware

    Seymour Duncan pickup

One volume and one tone control

    3-way toggle switch.

    UTILIZATION

Classic Fender Telecaster birdseye neck and fingerboard.

Very pleasant and rather slim neck considering it's a Telecaster. The wood looks wonderful.

The ash body also looks beautiful (even nicer than some Mexico and US models).

Typical Telecaster playability but the guitar is quite light.

It's a pleasure to take it in your hands.

The acoustic sound is very good. It's a real delight to the ears.

    SOUNDS

I played it with a Marshall 80/80 and a Roland Micro Cube.

    And the sound:

The Seymour Duncan are a tribute to the typical Telecaster sound you would like to get.

The guitar screams, bangs and twangs... It's a Telecaster, a real one... Let's Rock Baby

    OVERALL OPINION

    Excellent value for money.

    How it all started:

One day I went by a music store. I had enough time to try out a nice guitar. So now I stood in front of a Fender wall (Fender instruments from left to right). A few months earlier I had asked my luthier to build a Telecaster for me, so I had wanted to see if I could find a better Tele than mine. I tested a Mexican model which was quite good. I tested an expensive Mexican version that sounded even better. I looked at the guitar wall from right to left (prices going up). So I took the the guitar on the extreme left side, the most expensive one (a US something Plus model)... It sounded very good but it didn't blow me away. I was proud thinking "mine is better...".

But I hadn't seen the Lite Ash. It was hidden. I took it as soon as I saw it and the acoustic sound was already great. I thought: Birdseye maple, it's certainly an expensive guitar. I turned out the guitar that sounded better was the cheapest one. SO I bought it on the spot. The shop assistant asked me if I really wanted it because of the knurl defects of the neck!! Birdseye maple??? Knurls?? Right!!

The acoustic and electric sound is great and the varnish finish is very resistant.

My cat dropped a Boss pedal on it and the varnish shows only a scratch where others would have a hole.

Based on my experience I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again with my eyes closed.
