Analog, no editing or preset.

UTILIZATION

The manual is clear, but it must be read because you can not guess all (as that tremolo peaked with the "depth" two hours and then become modulated).

SOUND QUALITY

Very efficient, very realistic.

OVERALL OPINION

At the tap tempo, Pulsar is a bit of retrograde. And as the Rate knob has a monstrously wide range, each half-mm brings a different tempo. Finally - as always with EHX - switches are hard and make a lot of noise.
But what a sound! organic, addictive, hypnotic, it's the grain, not digital sanitized. In addition, work on the curve of the tremolo via the Shape knob brings a wide variety of pulsation. Exciting.
(The stereo effect, personally, it does not please me - ditto for phaser, panners and Co. I find it artificial in general, matter of taste.)
I recently bought - and quickly returned - two high-end worth 4 times its price: the Super Zvex Seek Trem (see review) and the Empress Tremolo2, both full of possibilities, but not as addictive as the Pulsar, which will remain So long in my collection.
