    Classic tone, sexy look!

    Marshall Class 5 Combo [2009-2010]Published on 05/16/11 at 10:59
    This is the same amp with the same features and tone of the black class 5 but with just an enhanced look. It has red tolex covering and a bit different grille cloth similar to the older style Marshall cabs from the 60's.

    Finally Marshall has manufactured an amp that goes back to the roots of what made them one of the best if not the most recognizable amplifier companies in the world.

    This class 5 is an astonishing amp that is simple in design and control, but carries a huge classic tone and feel that keeps you interested in the tone.

    Marshall Class5 All-tube 1 x 10" Combo Amp Features:

    * Power: 5 watts
    * Preamp tubes: 2 x ECC83
    * Power tubes: 1 x EL84
    * Controls: Volume,…

    SOUNDS

    Such a simple and easy design. The front top panel has four control knobs that control the volume and the basic EQ of bass, middle, and treble. There isn't a whole lot the user can get confused with.

    Just about any guitar you can throw at it you will get a solid classic Marshall tone. I particularly like the amp with a Gibson Les Paul. It seems that the two were made for each other.

    With only handling five watts of power you can crank up the volume to get those tubes cooking and get a nice over driven sound.

    OVERALL OPINION

    This is a great sounding practice amp or light gigging amp. It does have a headphone out for silent practicing in your home or office. So that is a nice feature on a tube amp. It is pretty light for a combo amp weighing in at only 26 lbs. you can basically take it anywhere without much strain on your back.

    At new these amps come in at around $400 and on the used market for around $250. I would recommend this amp to anyone who needs a great sounding tube amp in the Marshall/British tone vein.

    Small but sturdy ...

    lamp that hard, classic

    UTILIZATION

    more you turn the knob, the greater the man he has crunch, and even distortion, and it sends the potato.
    Still lack a gain ...

    SOUNDS

    Marshall's is a mess, it's great! The clean is bof, rather than the Vox AC15

    OVERALL OPINION

    If you do not like a cinderblock in the door of the apartment, it's better to turn to another amp.
    on the other hand with an attenuator tubejuice, or otherwise, it's still doable, but a little mess, it is better to be home.

    Good value

    Simpler one does not, it sets the spectra and then sends the volume. is the guitar does the rest. Once you push the creature becomes crunch. Or the clear sound is possible but with a subtle guitar. The Super 58's custom Ibanez AF 105 can stay clear. As soon as one takes a cons guiatre decidedly more blues-rock crunch ca. The sound is perfect, a marshall tube. For him the overdrive I stuck a Danelectro, ca does not hurt. With a multi-effects are quickly lost the spirit of the beast. The Danelectro remains funny and vintage. It's good fat.

    Only 5 watts, yet it makes a hell of racket type.

    OVERALL OPINION

    The price / quality ratio is unbeatable

    It passes quickly, everything is said. Just a lack rverbe or effects loop to attach a form of same pedal. This is all that's missing for me then 8 / 10.

    UTILIZATION

    Easier? We must remove the buttons ...

    SOUNDS

    A crunch quickly, very quickly and it does all its intrt. It was for that I bought. It should be forgotten for a RPTE if you need clear sound, it will not deal with a drummer even if it is not a bully ...

    But the sound, what sound! Not tried with a Start but with a Les Paul. Ca gre and sends the pt! I love it.

    OVERALL OPINION

    Should not be hesitating to buy it. In addition, Marshall arsolu the problem of vibration in the new version reprable the rear panel into 3 parts instead of only 1.

    It is really cool but I put 9 for the lack of FX loop or rverbe integrates.

    The headphone jack is a plus, but it lacks an HP calculator and it is therefore not really usable. adpanne at most. To play with headphones, I prefer my Pod X3 Live, at least there is rverbe ...
