-Tube amp (5x preamp. 2x6L6 + amp.) 60W with reverb .... see other opinions.
-Ah ... the HP 12-inch 2 sheffield ... well adapted to the sonoritées 5150.

UTILIZATION

-As soon as I connected I regretted my purchase (used, € 700.) Then, little by little, I have learned to tame the beast ....! dangerous !!... the clean channel gain (rhythm.) to 4 / 10, the lead to 6 / 10 no more, yet the guitar plugged into the low gain input! I was not used to input the settings so low. Eq. very good efficiency and ... but a single setting for 2-channel ~ ~ ~ ~

SOUNDS

-I play with an LP and an SG std std (Gibson.), I play more blues-rock, but I occasionally let off steam by playing Metallica ... Do not believe the 5150 is for a single zic-style ...
-With the lead channel, the settings in depth, the pick makes too much noise, my fingers are siffer the ropes when I Frolla ... 'Is the gain to spare! and in addition he began to snore serious!
-With the clean channel can also serve as the second distortion channel, but as the equalizer settings are common .!?!... clear if the sound is rather bright than hot.
-Reverb is pretty good ...-
detail:-Although it hardly heats, a slight odor emanates from the amp ,.....??? It sounds like a fishy smell! ... Maybe the person who owned the Peavey was a sailor before? --- Or fishmonger ?----------- or his wife was a cod ?)....--------------------- - that is --- + months later ok! more smell!) -

OVERALL OPINION

I've had a month and I have not tested with other musicians ... otherwise everything runs perfectly for me ... (except the weight!)
-I can compare it with my classic 30 (Peavey), and personal, although the classic is perfect for me, the 5150 is more than an amp (how to say ?),... ...!!!+++ MORE
- (I had a Marshall vs8080, nothing to do !)...( Normal, was long ago, to start ... now the lights is another thing !...)...
-I got it used, now renamed the 5150 is 6505, but it seems the same. I think the quality is, in fact everything is, and for the price, I would do the same choice ... (the store where I bought me 2 years warranty! They must have confidence in the model !).
