Guitar amplifier combo tube (fitted with 2 EL84 and 3 12AX7 different) in the mid 90s.
Theoretical power of 16 watts
a single channel with 6 pots: preamp bass-middle-treble-volume-presence
input and two outputs to drive an HP HP 12 "eminence X-12000 or any type of cabinet
(2.12 or 4.12!). I wonder why Soldano was not a lawsuit against HP for the hill!

UTILIZATION
Very easy to use: we light, heat is allowed a few minutes, then put the volume. We play with different knobs for sound sculp.
To obtain a "good" in his hand, it takes time to tame! This amp, like many amps that have character, does that sound if you give of yourself!
Especially since it must take into account the rigidity of HP must be given twice more feeling, subtlety and investment to compensate.
SOUNDS
Used for 5 years with just a wah.
The amp responds beautifully to every nuance of the game and respects the grain beautifully played guitars. Very musical, rich and complex, warm wishes. EQ is impressive versatility and subtlety (in particular, the presence).
the clean sound is closer to that of an old marshall fender, but it is not the primary destination of the amp (16 watts a channel ...). It is rather in overdrive and saturation. In this space, the amp excels and all ranges are possible overload except extreme metal which is not the destination. Use of Knob volume of the guitar sound perfectly clean, giving a cleaner sound at high volume.
The sound at lower volume (or very low volume) is simply exceptional for a tube amp, which is ideal for playing at home in making enemies for life. At higher volumes, the loudness of the amp is amazing. At bottom, we are in another world, so the sound is wide and far! By attacking a 2.12 or better a 4.12, it makes the amp breathe, it enriches all of its subtleties.
real blues machine. It covers all the sounds of the 60 to 90.
OVERALL OPINION
I own this amp for 8 years.
Ideal for playing at home, in rehearsal, studio or in small rooms (beyond, do you return).
the -: no effects loop, the HP, not real clear sound at high volume.
the +: Being able to have its bottom lamps. Soldano sound, falling. Easy to carry, great sound at low volume amp lively, faithful and indestructible. make it ring, it's a real lesson ...
Constructed (argus took 100% in 10 years!).
EDIT: since I removed the HP and replaced it with a celestion blackback GM25 mid 70's and I mounted the NOS Telefunken EL84 and ECC83 NOS (Philips, GE and Valvo 5751). The sound is incredible ...
