What type of amplification: lamps, 3 x 12AX7 and 4 x EL84. What connection? : 2-channel switches in two ways high and low, an effects loop with a switch for the bypass, exit for additional hp. What is the power delivered?: 30w Which settings, effects?: Bass / treble / volume on the top boost channel, volume on the normal channel and both channels have a common setting "tone cut, and a master! a spring reverb with tone and vibrato setting the footswitch (for effects, not the channels) is optional foutage of mouth. 9 because of this.
UTILIZATION
The setup is simple?: Child the sound is perfect. I am considering a change of lamps for better lighting, but more for reliability than anything else. no complaints about the sound. except slight bp described at the end. contrary to popular belief, it is completely usable volume of a house or apartment from his master. In fact, it is much more usable at low volumes that the majority of amplifiers 5 and 15 w and I tested on the range of Vox is unquestionably the better sound of low volume, that ca is in the range of transistors, hybrids or lamps. The master will ask anyway to be used at least 1 / 4 to give. It goes without saying that we must reverse the lower the volume and can therefore consider adding a distortion pedal or overdrive. but lowering the master and increasing the volume to 1 / 2 we obtain a perfect crunch that 90% of people satisfied, except monomaniacs purists who swear by the Master fully (or even no master at all).
SOUNDS
Will it fit your style of music? : 70's rock, it is perfect. but I play with everything, really everything (except metal) What kind of sound you get and with what settings ("crystalline", "fat ",....)? I only play in indoor, high-volume times but never scene of course. my settings are for internal use so that I play primarily on the normal channel + low, because it takes more to my taste the pedals. I play with the master between 1 / 4 and 1 / 2, same for the volume knob. I do not want to have a distortion with the settings, I use it for 3 pedals to choose from: - maxon OD 808 (gain on zero, just to color the sound, or about 1 / 4 for a crunch, to mix with channel volume) - Marshall Guv'nor 2 (80's rock scorpions eg) - Marshall Bluesbraker 2 (disto vintage, classic rock, blues rock, black sabbath Gallagher eg) In addition to these pedals I have a 90 phase and a Line 6 delay Echopark. need anything else. I sold everything else. To use both channels, I installed an A / B box, but finally I turned, it's really not necessary, it is doing very well with one of the two channels. An important detail: the top boost channel, the bass is always Knob thoroughly, and the treble always zero. On the normal channel, the tone is almost always cut between max (treble cut), and 3 / 4. below ca it anyway really brilliant, very brilliant. I plug in 3 strats, all 3 being fitted with humbucker in bridge: a pearly gate, and a DiMarzio hotrail heavy blues. I also had an SG, which also sounded beautifully inside. The TV in the AC30, everyone knows so no comment. the rest, never tried. What are the sounds you prefer, you hate? I'm wary of his tendency to go in the treble. AC experiencing scene must surely be different. I do not need to break into a mix with me. I just looking for a sound that I like. otherwise, that I turn, I say it's the amp I wanted.
OVERALL OPINION
For how long have you been using it? almost a year for 3 or 4h/day. Did you try many other models before getting this one? not bad indeed. I sold my peavey and marshall my haze, which I did not play any more once the vox at home. What thing do you like most/least about it? the +: sound quality workmanship. it may be Chinese, but it's really very well done and finished, inside and out. the apparent reliability of the award on the master -: um ... the weight can be ... the day I go out I sometimes increases volume ups when I play, maybe due to the lamps of Chinese power I'll change them for DD. Frankly, nothing else .. What is your opinion about the value for the price? just fine (775 euros nine in local mag, 3 year warranty) Knowing what you know now, would you make the same choice? ... I not only would do it again but I am looking for a more ac15C1
