UTILIZATION
Fans of the heads of single-channel type (as opposed to gas plants Mesa Boogie type), should navigate. LANEY had the good idea to add one channel to the head, the few tools that facilitate adaptation to the rest of your gear (speakers output, boost, effects loop)
SOUNDS
(Clean Vintage 30 speaker in Engl and / or vintage Marshall 4x12. Guitars played: Les Paul, Steinberger, Jackson - other heads played: Marshall, Fender, Mesa Boogie, Engl, Peavey, ...)
Sound quality but for me, too much perfection perfection kills ... I mean the sound is clear, precise, right, sharp, etc ... but the point of impeding the feeling. We search the beautiful settings, it is hard to get an opportunity to "slip". The sound is modern and straight. So, we are somewhat limited in terms of potential styles: exit sounds intermediate between light and slamming overdrive / saturation tight. Similarly, we can not reach some frequency: the BASS knob to turn around the low mids (certainly welcome in the metal) without ever touching the lower extreme example, and it seems that something is missing really brilliant to Trebble / PRESENCE. Because of their gender, we understand that Kiko Loureiro, Mattias Eklundh Christophe Godin or use the head as is, but do not be tempted to recall the feeling of vintage in the head "British-channel". Too bad ...
OVERALL OPINION
The head has a good or very good value for money. But it is a pity not to find anything that can make lights (the sound is too close to what brought by some of today's digital preamp). The very characteristic will limit his fans ...
