Best value:
Excellent
Amp head tube, 6L6 and 12AX7.
100 watts, impedance selector to connect on almost any speaker.
2 channels: clean and rhythm, an EQ for each channel, boost volume and gain boost on channel crunch, Bright switch on clean channel, Presence, Reverb and Contour common to both channels.
UTILIZATION
Well it's not a gas plant or how Recto Diezel VH-4, so not really useful manual.
Like any amp (tube), it is necessary to test different types of settings before you get a sound that matches what we're looking for. It lacks, however, a third channel for my taste ..
SOUNDS
I play different styles in a group of jazz psychedelic triturated in utopian progressive death metal, to funk music or avant-garde. In any case, I get a sound that satisfies me. The clean channel is very hot and can be highly crystalline by activating the switch Bright.
The overdrive channel is pretty close to a 5150 I think. Some people are re-creating the idea of playing metal with this head, but she is perfect! But again, I regret a 3rd channel ..
Feel free to send me a PM if need advice with this head, or further notice!
OVERALL OPINION
I use it since 2006. I tried several heads (Marshall, Mesa, Laboga ,...) but not a very large budget at the time, I pulled over cele it. I use it on different speakers after training with which I play (ValveKing 4x12 for what is more muscular, not very good speaker indeed .. and 2x12 Marshall sets "soft".)
If I had the same means at the time, I certainly do it again the same choice, but taking care to choose a better speaker. Good value for money, but attention nonetheless, many of ValveKing have to take a trip to SAV Peavey (including mine ..).
