Tube preamp. Electronic quite modern and manufacturing high quality home presonus with 3 lamps per channel. I saw it by myself because I have dismantled the mine to the front pots were exploded during transport ... I guess the problem was solved for packaging (I bought it at its output two years ago). Once repaired it's solid. XLR / IN AND OUT analog front came intrument, RAS.
UTILIZATION
In génénral is quite convenient to use, it is all what is expected of a preamp in this range and even an impedance selector (I do not hear the difference). The selector tool withdraws the high impedance input jack on the front recess and that therefore a DI. To use it well apreciated for meter giving the average and the peak meters. The LEDs adopt the blue and purple of the latter are quite small so under certain conditions other than the studio can not see anything. SOUND QUALITY
The sound is pleasant, never aggressive acute and remain well defined. The bass is so enjoyable. It's just a équilible I think. OVERALL OPINION
I have Symetrix and the M80 (also from PreSonus) and many more. I am satisfied with this one RAS. If you are looking for a big tube sound that's not what you need. This preamp do more in the delicacy. In short, a fair middle.
