HELP! Trying to expand Clarett 8Pre USB with an old Focusrite PLATINUM OctoPre

HELP! I'm trying to expand my new Clarett 8Pre USB with an old Focusrite PLATINUM OctoPre to get a total of 16 simultaneous inputs. Is it possible? Can anyone tell me how to do this? I've been playing around with the ADAT optical ins/outs, sync button, clock, and Focusrite Control software...but, can't get it to work. Any help, suggestions, opinions, knowledge, ideas, or bro-science would be appreciated. Thank you.focusrite-clarett-8pre-usb-2929687.jpg

Hi

Your Clarett should set to master
The platinum pre at slave. The platinum has to lock into the clock of the Clarett.

Some units can read the clock from the adat port but sometimes This clock has to be taken from the bnc connector on the back.

So if not working I advice you to Connect the word clock out of the Clarett to the word clock in of the platinum
