« Very happy thank you »
Published on 12/10/10 at 22:44I have obviously chosen for its size, strength (apparent at the moment, we will use the rest). She is really thinking for transport (with a nice cover that looks good protection) and that's what I was looking for: 2 I / O analog in the pocket.
But what I decided is the updated RME convertos already very nice in Fireface: I wanted to test it, and I was amazed.
I fill the d-sub with a synth rack, a microphone and a pair of listening.
Plugged into a MacBook Pro 13 "
UTILIZATION
Drivers, yet updated very recently have some bugs. RME who used to quickly update its drivers, I look forward to the next update, we'll see if they have managed to fix it (for now I'm forced to restart the computer when my session is opened from one end and as I plug the card).
For latency, RME announced a record, and it is indeed very low. Normal for a little card with I / O but it rotates with ableton full of plugs and a buffer 256. Installation
GETTING STARTED
impeccable as always with RME driver with a very light.
The new TotalMix is more ergonomic, easy to handle, not yet tested the fx.
No conflict, no manual but not in digital format.
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for a week, which prior to the RME Fireface 400 and even before the 800 (I direct myself more to the plugin where the transition to a smaller version ) and there I was amazed by the quality of sound: a leap forward for the D / A that is clearer, brighter and more precise bass.
But it is in A / D that the difference is felt: bounce analog input is identical to the source. They made a huge progress in that direction: the Fireface me a little disappointed because I was getting a perfect result in ever registration. The babyface is close to perfection. RME
