“Captured with a historic Ivors & Pond upright, it has the wear and tear that you’d expect from a hundred-year-old instrument that has been played hard and put away wet, night after night, decade after decade, ” Soundiron says.
Weighing in at 5.25 GB, The Drinking Piano features 25 Kontakt presets, about 1700 samples and 50 custom convolution impulses. Included are standard and Lite presets, along with 16 special custom FX patches. There is also a range of automatable LFO, EQ, filter and sound-shaping.
This library requires the full version of Kontakt 4.2.4 or later. The library also features a few special K5-only presets that allow Uberpeggiator pattern saving/loading. This is an open-format library, so the free Kontakt Player does not support this product. However, it includes standard wav files that can be imported into most audio software.
Pricing & Availability:
This library is available for download now, for the sale price of only $69. The price goes to $79 after October 17, 2012.
