To kick off the “Summer of SONAR X1” Cakewalk have created the free SONAR X1 Welcome Kit to help new users. It includes tips, tricks, video tutorials, and bonus sound content – free ($70 value). The company has also extended the Competitive Crossgrade offer through August 31 so that Ableton, Cubase, FL Studio, Reason, and Studio One customers can buy SONAR X1 Essential for $69. If you want to try SONAR X1 first, a 30-day trial of SONAR X1 Producer, free to download, is available.
In July, they will release their first official Cakewalk video tutorial for SONAR. Co-authored by Craig Anderton, Cakewalk’s ‘SONAR X1 Advanced Workshop with Craig Anderton’ is a video tutorial designed to “delve into the brain of SONAR X1 and takes you through advanced techniques and challenges.”
Later in July, SONAR X1 users who own Z3TA+ will discover Z3TA+ 2. It will feature a redesigned user interface, new editing controls and new effects. Z3TA+ 2 will also come with a new collection of sounds. If you already own Z3TA+, then the upgrade to Z3TA+ 2 will be available for a special price.
In August Cakewalk will be releasing SONAR X1c, a free update for registered users. According to the company, SONAR X1c will offer “superior stability and includes all the fixes in X1a and X1b, all the QuickFix releases, plus a host of new enhancements including a fresh UI overhaul for the Loop Construction View and Step Sequencer 2.0.” More information about SONAR X1c will be available in late July.
Following the release of SONAR X1c, Cakewalk will be inviting all SONAR X1 customers to a webinar.
