«  Very good! »

Dune 2 I put in the same category as Synthmaster 2.6 and Diva ... ie synthesizers that can modulate pretty much like the real hardware synths.
If I compare to Synthmaster Diva and I have also, I think the sound made slightly different but equally excellent dune2.
Typical effects reverb and delay are very average. I prefer to cut and use those Live 9, and then the sound is just huge.
All controls are easily assignable to an external controller. For example, I could easily map the pots a kingkorg with their equivalent in Dune2. I feel using a hardware synth but with filters that are still a notch below those of KingKorg and far from a analog oven example. Opportunities modulation Dune2 remember those of my jupiter-80, which is not bad.
What is the strength of Dune2 is its unison mode and the possibilities of stacking sounds that give rich sound with great presence.
He is at ease in all registers with a special mention for the arpeggiated sounds through his comprehensive arpeggiator which offers the possibility to import noon.
The paths of the categories Chords and Lead are also very good I think.
But curiously the pads are not as good as those of a Diva.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

I use it on a I7 3770K @ 3.5 ghz in its 64-bit version.
It exploits the multi-core and consumes very little CPU resources compared to Synthmaster or Diva. It is therefore possible to run many instances without problem.
It has a few flaws (mean effects) but overall I find it excellent and very pleasant to use interface with hardware such as a push or a keyboard / synth master.
Only its price is a bit high I think in terms of the number of patches provided and more facing a Synthmaster remains unbeatable in my opinion the quality / price ratio.
