Audio system will not initialize?

Every time I open Proteus VX, I always get a message saying that Audio system cannot be initiallized. I have an xboard 61. How do I make my keyboard work for Proteus VX?

I am also a user of windows 7 ultimate.

Hmm... I'm not really sure.  Maybe it's best to check with EMU?

exactly the same problem i have.  audio system will not initialize.  i have it on a hp laptop with windows 7.  any luck in finding a solution?  anyone try this with a hex guitar and vg99?

The computer's audio mixer could not be initialized." I looked at all the settings I could think of, and didn't find anything that seemed to do anything. The computer is almost brand new. The sound card and microphone work fine and check out fine with the system check.
