Installing long, that is the problem on all my PCs (all three more than enough powerful PC). The same message when I run it (after installation): "Could not the streaming engine INITIALISED".

On one of my PC I still managed to get it to work after 3 installed driver and software (very long!).

UPDATE 03/03/07: A new driver came out for the box comes with twelve o'clock (it must be connected to operate Proteus X2) and this problem has since disappeared.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

Given that the CPU uses Proteus X2, calms the heat. It also requires lots of RAM and I had to do some cleaning so it runs correctly (laptop Pentium M 2.0 GHz, 2 GB RAM, Hard Drive 5400 rpm / 8 MB cache m, MOTU 828 soundcard MKII, TC Electronic PowerCore-FREWIRE).
My hard drive should also not be fast enough because if I play the notes too quickly, some become silent. My PC has a year yet and I took what was then a better and speed hard drive for notebook ...
Another problem is clearly incompatible with PX2 FORTE (my software for VST host) and I can not use it in concert (shame, that's why I took it!). It is managed (with difficulty) by STRONG, STRONG, but when I reopen it blocks the opening so PX2 is part of Setlist.

OVERALL OPINION

The sounds of the Proteus 2000 (the original hardware), very well respected, if not better sometimes to my taste + comes with a piano but several GB is no other dedicated to this use VST + 1 CD of loops and beats .

Not everything is good in the PX2 but I personally remember the sounds of drums (full kit not bad at all), lots of different layers and easy to use, and deep bass (rather in the style infrabass). Some sounds are twisted a bit as interesting.

I tested several general as Hypersonic, but I think PX2 is best for sound. Against by INTAL and the consumption of CPU + RAM may soon be a problem and I would not suggest so if your config is limited. Obviously if you use Forte, go your way!
