It’s been a while since we heard from Benoit Serrano, but he was working on a new plug-in. Meet Orpheus.
Benoit Serrano is still a generous developer and offers a new strings/organ synth, but unfortunately still in VST 32-bit plug-in format for Windows only (please Benoit, give us some AU/VST on Mac and 64-bit!).
Orpheus feature two sound generators, each with four waves: Bright, Mellow and Dark Strings as well as an organ, with ADSR amplitude envelope, unison and drift options.
The synth supports up to 128 voices of polyphony and you can add various effects, such as a 3-band resonator with shared resonance, pan, dedicated LFO, drift and random ; a two-band EQ (Presence), a chorus, a delay, an autopan and a tremolo.
Benoit Serrano also included a display on which you can manage the patches.
