Excellent
Keyboard Light, portable, compact and cheap, it is for musicians to funding not necessarily huge, but who wish to turn to a semi-pro gear. The 16-track sequencer may be a fair bit, especially if you have the habit of using only 8 tracks to your sequence of percussions, but it is usually enough to get a result up to your expectations.
UTILIZATION
For a regular KORG, use is intuitive and the handling is done in minutes. For others, it is very simple, and some days all you need to understand the basic principles of handling the machine.
SOUNDS
This machine is designed for electronic music, let it be said ... Try out a piano that captures, you will spend three days to finally give up! The guitars are also poorly made, and the strings are usually not very interesting. On the other hand, organs are excellent, as well as powerful leads, the deep ground, shattering synths, etc ... Percussion kits are quite interesting, but somewhat repetitive. Overall, it is better to avoid this keyboard if your thing to you, it's acoustic music. on the other hand, electro side is quite impressive.
Note the presence of a well-designed two-track arpeggiator, carrying a big hundred factory grounds. As for the sequencer, it offers a way "loop", which allows to turn to the controls in real time: 4 pots are available on the left of the screen, and this is where we begin to s' some fun on a live set ... Cutoff and Resonance of course, but also modules assigned to your liking. Some regret the lack of tape, but this assignment custom modulation in real time the complete lack in my opinion.
In fact, one can very well use this machine for quite other than his "normal" use. It depends on your imagination ...
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for more than three years, and as a student, I could have hoped for my budget. In addition, a synth as compact (and solid) that it is perfect for small trips between zicos. The value for money is excellent, especially since you can add a card or other sampler. Note also the backup to SD card, which currently sells for 6 euros for 1GB Surcouf ... Moreover, it is a little more than using the card format: just the once to buy a small module card reader for your PC (unless it embarks card reader X in 1), download the latest firmware updates and new sounds, and it is left for a new discovery!
