I come from a MAC G5 acqurir 2x2gz dualcore with 2GB of RAM.
I put on Cubase 3.1 and HALion SL3.1 bank SoloString VSL.
Everything is installed correctly (even the USB key! Steinberg)
It is still a significant investment trs. But for now everything works fine. A dception halion with all the same there are saturations noon, with 2 GB of ram is a bit irritating.
It's true that I load virtual instruments 14 VSL (solostring with lots of joints) in HALion more qq percu xylo and virtual instruments.
It goes faloir I spend 4GB of RAM or I changed my way of working.
But the jump may be just twelve o'clock the power supply, I will lend to an inverter to see if it would not come to l.
or nothing to say, in terms of pure power, just like that to try I manipulate images in photoshop 200MB, as small thumbnails gif, trs impressive.
But it is a machine that I only Dedier vai music.
