Test out Elixir's new Nanoweb bass strings!

As mentioned in our news item, Elixir's doing their best to continually improve their strings by incorporating user feedback. That's why they're giving you the chance to get a free set of their new Nanoweb bass strings. You can view the different gauges available here and find out more about the technology behind the strings here.

To receive a free set, just comment below. We'll then reach out to several of you for the relevant shipping information as well as which specific set you would like to test. All you have to do is provide your honest feedback below after having the tested the new strings!

We'll then pick one lucky winner to receive an entire year's worth of strings.

So if you want a free set of quality bass strings (as well as the chance to win a year's worth), just comment below!

Thanks for all of the interest, guys. While we wish we could give free strings to everyone, there's only a limited amount available.

I've sent private messages to the selected testers. If you didn't receive a PM, there's still a chance that you'll be selected if one of the original selections don't respond in time.

Yey! I need new strings! I really needed to change my current strings, though they served me well and was about to order Nanoweb Light for my 6 string, and I can't say no to the freebies! Currently playing on a jazz/fusion/blues quartet and on a math rock and dnb duet.

I've always enjoyed the sound and durability of Elixir's on my acoustic guitar. It would be nice to have some bass strings that would hold their sound for a long time.

I would love to try these as the acoustic coated strings are phenomenal! They last for ages, retaining their bright , crisp tone. If the bass strings are half as good, Im in!

I've been a long time player of Rotosound strings but the last year has seen me use D'Addario and more
successfully Status Hot Wire nylon tapes.

What different sound and feel would Nanoweb bring ?

I just bought my first budget studio bass (rbx170 - 4 string light) and could really make use of some new strings.

No idea which brand to go for so win me over. :)

Hi guys, and thanks to those of you who have posted your review of Elixir's NANOWEB bass strings. We were really stoked with the responses. A special thanks to mortalwombat, steenamaroo, patrickbarrett and ]kfbass on Audiofanzine in English, as well as gratteurdebluesteel, supermachin, comeback-kid, momaw nadow and lupercal on Audiofanzine in French.

Unfortunately, we could only pick one winner. While many of your reviews were excellent, only gratteurdebluesteel received multiple votes by other members as the most useful review.
