Thread no signal with electro-acoustic instruments

Hello !

I'm not getting any signal when I plug my electro-acoustic instruments directly into my interface (scarlett 18i8). I need it to set up a live performance.

I have tried 4 differents instruments (2 ukes and 2 guits), have checked the batteries for each of them and tried to use another interface (tascam US-122), without any result. I have tried using both INST and LINE input levels.

It does work with electric guitars and bass so i'm a little baffled.

Any idea why this happens ?
