I want to do some experimenting is their any danger to the motherboard by hooking up different jacks and amps to the cd in on the card .

I m not worried about the card but i don't want to damage my new PC. Its a pci card. I mostly want to use the cd in wire as an input jack for my guitar amp so i can record and i get statics through the line .
