We can even emulate a flanger year assigning extremely short values.
Super conection to the rear. XLR and JACK.
It's digital, but so hot!
UTILIZATION
At first glance, this machine is easy to use: few parameters, within a few milliseconds to 1 second and some.
2 inputs A and B.
This is a single machine, but has 2 inputs / outputs, so that can create a fake stereo.
It allows to take off in a mono sound mix. For example, it sets the time to a value A (depending on the BPM), and then sets the time on B twice this value or slightly less. playing on the feedback, the sound becomes stereo.
A formidable position, the XTAL. time varies between two values A and B. the effect obtained, an echo that accelerates or slows down, change pitch, LFO module function, and it is wonderful, especially on vocals.
The filter is a high pass time.
SOUND QUALITY
Although it is completely digital, the sound is incredibly hot.
Ideal for voice, rhythmic elements, mono synths.
I use it mainly on vocals, playing on the feedback parameters, Depth and manual sweep real-time recording to a separate stereo effect obtained, then mixed track.
A living time is much richer than a single echo with a fixed period.
Nothing to do with a Roland RE201 tape echo or 501, because the machine blows relatively little.
I therefore recommend to the effect live recording effect in real time.
OVERALL OPINION
for years I use this machine pretty heavily.
I stumbled on this machine, and bought it without knowing its strengths.
The delay values do not have the precision of the new deadlines, but these slight shifts / desync highlight the processed sounds in the mix.
Little breath, beautiful presentation, even in the bass effect is really powerful and rings.
The PCM42 has a sound / close enough functionality 2 times smaller.
We find little on the market and if you see one, jump on it.
