Dynamic Microphone from Shure belonging to the SM series

Value For Money : Excellent
FEATURES:

Micro singing scene! Heavy Duty Construction The microphone is legendary!
This is a dynamic cardioid microphone, unidirectional (basically it captures the sound transmitted to it in his direct line). The bandwidth is 50 to 15,000 Hz

The microphone is made of steel and is equipped with a grid "shock" steel (note braided grid deforms on impact, the mesh is resserent to protect the capsule).
It is also equipped with a filter antipop and windproof, useful for noise-free!

USE:

Well, it's a microphone so do not get out of Math sup to use it! Yet one thing is to be noted is its reliability! I've had a year and a half and I made him suffer more shocks of reasons it has thus:
A drum-sound system (two pillows to avoid feedback, mid and high back on the table a mix of low and a 1 / 10 ... you get the dry sound of a trigger)
Caught-water (and beer)
He dropped from considerable heights (equivalent to 2m) or was thrown to the ground!
It still works like day one and I never let go! The sound is always the same.

SOUND:

It is exceptional! A warm! I sing in a group of Hardcore Metal / Death and the style is the top! The treble bass and midrange are transcribed perfectly!
Its only major flaw, its strong tendency to LARSEN! Anyway the sound is so nice that abstraction is faster ...

I would put 9 Feedback for small (history not to surnoter)

OVERALL OPINION

- How long have you use it?

I use it for a year and a half since this time nothing wrong!!

- What is so special that you like most and least?

I appreciate above all its high reliability, and robust side, indeed it has often been misused in concert, style and ambience want that and never let go of me!
However we regret that feedback too easily rather annoying at times in small rooms!

- Have you tried many other models before buying it?

I had a ROLAND DR10 aquérir before (I always elsewhere) and has far fewer potatoes, ditto for the Sennheiser few I've tried, they often fail to combine Quality Bass / Treble ...
I made the acquisition there is little time for a wireless microphone SHURE PGX BETA 58, who has a little more potato in the acute and the problem of feedback in less!

- How would you rate the quality / price?

The value for money is excellent, I paid 110 and a microphone of this quality I think the price is really more than reasonable!

- With experience, you do again this choice? ...

Without hesitation and sometimes twice a day: it is the micro to have whatever other mics used!
