Published on 05/16/13 at 14:34American as its name suggests
rosewood for a well-rounded sound and wooded
20 boxes ... it is little but it gives enough notes, except for mandolin players
single micro split: the Round and accurate but sensitive to hum when approaching a magnetic field
volume and passive tone: simple, effective and breathless
UTILIZATION
thick and comfortable handle
well balanced, mine is not too heavy
form, not worth talking about: this is the ideal, copied by all other
you get a good sound if you plug in you need:
no need to spend a fortune, you just have to trust his ears
a good amp not too expensive can do wonders, all knobs at noon cube Roland, Fender BXR, Ampeg BA series ... and many others. Otherwise for those who can afford a good Ampeg SVT send them to seventh heaven.
SOUNDS
The versatile bass par excellence, not many sounds, actually one: the good, the one with the group through the mix without turning up the volume excessively because it produces frequencies need.
I love his sound slap: no aggressive treble, as the beautiful, soft and slippery at the same time
I play on 3 amps depending on configuration: dean markley 20W Ampeg BA115, Gallien-Krueger 1001RB. it gives the best of the Ampeg but is very convincing to others.
no effect pedal or fireworks, just plugged into the amp or directly into the console box with a direct or a SansAmp and voila!
OVERALL OPINION
this is my third accuracy since 2001, and the best of 3: 68 the first vintage was a little too lived side handle, the second was a more versatile deluxe but it was not the soul and simplicity that I love . I rise GHS Flatwound: less bright, but a big way its roger waters and motown. Compared to my sting ray, yamaha trb, Vigier, noguera, it is by far my best bass. and that's all
