Rosewood handle
24 frets
Two volume knobs and one tone.
Two microphones, a split manner and style PB JB.
And of course the great feature of this bass (and yes it's still not so pwr): this is a headless. It has an easel licensed by Steinberger.
Sy must do to acordage.
Mine is black, much more class than the picture! Oh, and it's a 4 string.
UTILIZATION
The handle could not be nicer, access to acute is excellent thanks to the shape, it reminds me of the Flying V (I'm also a guitarist). The ergonomics are very good, it seems to me a pretty good balance ... good sitting recess because of the shape is not as comfortable as a jazz bass and other sy but it quickly. It is very light.
This gives a good sound easily, simply turn the pots ...
I am not 10 because of a slight problem: the strings tend to "fret" which is rather unpleasant but does not include the recording (I think ...)
SOUNDS
The sounds are perfect for my style of music of choice: Pop Rock / New Wave.
I use a Peavey Microbass (30w I think) and when I record I make it through my Korg AX1500G is a guitar pedal, but works very well with a low, with an amp simulation is the foot (it sounds great on a Vox AC30!)
I like the sounds: sounds slammin! In severe it is very good too, all sounds in the genre Ricken I find ... I manage to recreate the sounds of low bits of Franz Ferdinand, for example, is enjoyable.
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for more than three years, it was my first bass and elsewhere it is still my only bass, though I confess I am tempted by the Fender PB ...
I tried a few models from Yamaha, and some sub-brands which I can not remember the name ... what made me decide for this low I must admit that seeing Eric Serra play a similar low-Subway ... and yes I know ... and now with experience I realized that I very well chosen: it's a great bass, and I do it again this choice again (except if I found the same 5-string, or a PB in the same range of price ...)
