UTILIZATION
The handling is very fast for basic use: I connect, I play, I press the big buttons, it's lights flashing and noise, it's Christmas!
Then, reading the manual, very well done, effectively informs all the features of the machine, taking a little time at the beginning after we win a lot because everything becomes simple.
The use of sound editing software is remarkably simple and effective, necessary not to remain stuck his head between his knees to force to look into the camera.
Other features may appear limited: the multi-instance, do not expect to have all the features of a device solely dedicated to this but there is a great tool for creating and entirely satisfactory arrangement for someone one like me who has experienced the glory days of four tracks to audio cassettes ...
SOUND QUALITY
The sound quality is excellent when one is very familiar with the equipment that is used with: his guitar, his amp, the sound system, microphone, etc ... I now have a condenser microphone (Apex 435, a low-end incredibly good at 60 euros, go see the reviews and believe them, this microphone is terrible) and I could push a little at the GNX4 preamp with the power supply 'phantom. It is very good, the converters are very effective, transparent and allow the micro speak, I get taken to the sounds of voices and acoustic guitars for a very high fidelity, including my classic with a slight reverb enhanced a touch of chorus, velvet! A great surprise that this mic preamp.
OVERALL OPINION
I own this GNX4 for ten days so I had to spend forty hours on it (well, besides, it's not a chair either ...)
I really like the clear side of the craft: every action has a definite result, ie one can work in a reasoned way by defining constraints, choices go on an adventure and lose a lot of time, for example, to create an accurate sound we know exactly what to do and what results can be obtained but again you really know your material and have some knowledge of elementary acoustic when you touch the sound design.
What I like least? Every son that is connected behind, but it's not really his fault ...
The value for money is unbeatable for the simple reason that there is no equivalent to this unit in other manufacturers, there are better multi-effects certainly, but not all the features of GNX4 (connectivity, phantom power for microphone, multitrack, still no coffee ...)
I would do without hesitation that choice, really. In fact I go back ...

Having now toured widely as the possibilities of the GNX4 (apart from the function talk to me quite unnecessary) must be recognized that use home studio is not far from perfect, for me at all case. A good computer with a good monitoring coupled with the GNX4 and I have the perfect setup for my personal use: again, the technical work, making models with a more than impressed by performing a post-production on the signal type of download sequencer with VST effects.
