REASON 3.0 wont start

Just trying to get started with Reason for the first time. I am on a fairly fast Mac G5 and everytime I try to double click the reason icon to start the program (it was just loaded and I have not even been able to load the sound files) I get the following error message:
"Remote system could not be installed because access to the global Applications Support folder was denied" ???
Anyone ever see anything like this before??
