Topic Setting up Saffire PRO 26 with Bose speakers (via OPTICAL)
My gear:
- iMac Retina 5K / Mac OS 10.13.6 (High Sierra)
- Focusrite Saffire PRO 26
- Bose Cinemate Series II (monitors 1)
- KRK VXT8 (monitors 2)
- Software: Pro Tools 12.8.1.921 + Logic 10.4.6

I've been having trouble setting this up right.

In terms of monitoring:
1. I have an 8th" into RCA cable going from my iMac headphone output into my Bose speakers Analog In (to listen to iTunes, etc.)
2. A pari of KRK VXT8's will be connected via 1/4" jacks into the Focusrite Analog Mains.
3. I also have my BOSE speakers connected via an OPTICAL cable into the Focusrite Optical In.

I can't seem to get this configuration right. When I start a Logic session, I would like to use the Focusrite Volume Monitor knob to control the volume.

Is there anyone who would be able to guide me through this? I'm obviously quite oblivious to how this should work.

FYI: my Bose speakers only have an Analog RCA in + Optical in. How do i use my Bose speakers as 1 of the pair of reference monitors?
