Thread Question about 2i4 mk2 - able to hear system sounds and mic in real time?

main question is, if I get this interface will I be able to use a DAW for instance, hear the music and be able to monitor my mic in real time with low latency? Just making sure, cause I see you can turn it all the way to the left and a video said you hear with no latency whats going into the pc.. but am I also able to hear system sounds? or the instrumental that i'm laying vocals ONTO?
I just want to make sure this will fit my needs and what i'm looking for, I spent alot of money on a creative AE-5 and HATE IT.. I can't even do THAT which I was able to do 10 years ago with an X-FI soundcard.

I am ready to pull the trigger and buy it, just going to wait for an answer to make sure I can do this
