Hey everyone,

I have an old Steinberg UR 824, which works great, However, I just bought a Scarlette OctoPre expamsion and I'm getting a lot of weird noise. Crackling, distorion, dropouts. It even crackles when nothing is plugged into either unti.

I'm running WIn 10, I'm using a UR824 as my interface. I just bought a Octopre as an expansion. and it seems to be routed correctly -- each channel gets signal and records in my DAW (Studio One 5)
I'm connecting the Octopre to the UR824 via ADAT. I'm going out from the Octopre (right hand out when looking at the back of the unit) and IN to the 824 (Adat A).
The clocks are set to internal on both and sample rates are 44.1,
I'm very new to adat and I'm not very technical. I'vce also seen a lot of people posting about this but I havent had any luck. Feel free to talk to me like a noob -- dumb it down.
