4 MB to install only this software is not there to be clever and reconfigure the entire OS to its sauce.
Transparent and non-intrusive installation, a feast of good education.
The choice of drivers is easy and detailed.
Only the organization of soft disorienting a bit, but it is always the case when switching from one brand to another. Each publisher has its logic.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

32-bit XP SP3, Terratec USB 6 starts at 40 Euros, Asio driver Asio4All.

This sequencer runs and glides smoothly, as I said above, it is not there to be clever and in operation, he really knows how to be discreet.

Only the start of Reason in ReWire was a bit complicated, but everything else I mostly feel that it is he who is in my service and not the reverse.

The possibilities are endless routing, I can put as many plugins as insert I want to have as much as I want Sends per track, send any audio anywhere, just like in Reason. It changed me a lot of stiffness in Cubase in this regard.

In addition, all menus, all shortcuts, all toolbars are customizable to inifinite loop too, we can really customize it to the sauce.

Finally, the changes are permanent, and improvements are published several times a month. It is a policy very intelligent.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had two years.

Being accustomed to Cubase before, the change was a bit laborious, but I have clearly become more flexible. Make a side-chain is a breeze for example.

Pros:
- Flexibility of routing, which allows editing of effects of lunatics, with the same flexibility in analog.
- Management of effect parameters, the possibility of modulating them either by internal LFO, or by the volume of any track. One can imagine such a gain at 550 Hz Eq on the guitar down to the foot of each GC.
- The possibility of any parameter in the sauce
- Software-intrusive and break-up, quick start, detailed configuration. At no time have I felt that the software prevented me some things to "protect me from myself". We have the opportunity to make huge crap without safeguards, it's really fun, like the feedback loops that bring the VU meter to + 256 dB. I love it.
- The updates permanent.

Cons:
- GUI does not clever either. So, this is not graphically beautiful and smart, but many Skins are available for download.
- The feeling of confusion and disorientation when one comes from another sequencer.

Value for money as huge as the finger to other DAW that take so much space, which is the play so much more. Especially since the demo version is unlimited. I bought the license by bad conscience and to encourage the guys from Cockos.

Choice again? Sure, and if I had known I would have done well in advance! But well before it existed.
