Hi to all,
I recently bought Cubase SX3 for my homestudio. My computer (WinXPPro, P4 3.4, 2GB RAM) has an onboard AC97 soundcard and after installing Cubase, the default driver Cubase uses is ASIO multimedia. Problem with that is th high latency (750 ms). So, not usable. I decided to try the ASIO DirectX full duplex driver. Crash, boom, ...
Each time i tru to start Cubase, at the point it tries to init the asio direct x full duplex driver, it crashes with the known windows popup 'windows encountered a proplem...' followed by a stop of the program. Also, when i use the programs->steinberg->asio directx full duplex setup program, it crashes directly with the same windows error popup.
Anyone have an idea or an update on this?
Regards,
Koen

Hi,
U have to go in Cubase to >Device >Device setup > VST Audiobay and select driver the last on a list >SB Audigy 2 ASIO [FDC0]. Set the latency on 10ms /I recommend/. Now every start of Cubase will open proper driver. Make a test.
