So it's a pedal of equa, is simple:
7 frequencies, 1 volume, 1 input, output, led to a s'avoir if it is active, and a switch.
It works with a 9 volt battery (which is placed under the switch) or a 9 volt adapter.
The pedal is sturdy trs (as always with Boss), although heavy, they stay glued land without problem, it is sized for the road!
UTILIZATION
Getting started is simple, but precise trs must go easy on the bars for failing to boil because it is sensitive trs.
Personally, I use it at the end of chaining in the effects loop.
At the beginning we must be careful because the volume if you use it to refine the sound like me, if the volume is set incorrectly or it will act as boost, the sound will be low trs (check activation / deactivation of the effects loop). Basically ge 7 defines the volume output of your sound (or rather the effects loop).
it takes a little re-settle its loop to keep the same amp as the potato.
The frequencies are easily adjustable, the notch at the "0" is really useful to put everything back or just zero.
LED activation is clearly visible, and the pedals seems to consume too much battery, at least if you have unplugged the jacks APRS jou.
use is simple and precise, but be careful not to go too fast
SOUND QUALITY
Noise level, I'm really really happy.
End loop on my Peavey JSX head, I sculpt the sound as I want, the sound of the amp as the basis already pretty huge, it just lacked that and refine it ... it's terrible!
The pedals (if aa important Japanese) gives me no breath or parasite and is completely neutre.mis from my GT6 which cooled slightly trs sound, equa transcribed exactly the sound of the amp keeping all zero and activating.
Playing metal, I use an equa "V" to refine my basic sound, the sound is terrible: it is precise, heavy, GE7 makes its way I wanted.
however, careful not to over-dig or boost a certain frequency if becomes too loud or too precise or clear.
For the little that you have already a basic sound correct, does the GE7 reste.Une time rule, which may slightly touch the amp settings, but it is minimal trs .
OVERALL OPINION
I use it recently because I bought used on AudioFanzine I won!
It quickly becomes indispensable trs, trs quickly you get used to having one's work rather than the sound "raw" of the amp.
It is robust, efficient, and neutral, whatever you want that kind of pedal!
The only thing that is not really one, is the sensitivity to frequency and volume, but it really be manic, fast enough because there are sound and the noise level we want.
I do not need a pedal of equations with my amp head, as I find the sound good, but be c'tait naf, say nothing of it, is not comparable and without ...
I do not know what the other equa worth, but this pedal is really good.
The only pedal I would have like to try is the MXR Kerry King, but it is much more expensive compared the boss, which is more easily found secondhand.
100 for not even worth it ...
The only thing I would change would be to spend my effects loop pedal / multi-effects to the rack and take a rack type equa ART etc ... but in pedal format, there must be more difficult!
