Argh, no opinion on my sequencer !!?!?
Then, the characteristics:
This sequencer expander
-1 Stereo output
-2 In / out MIDI for a total of 32 voices (quiet)
-A very wide screen lcd
-1 Footswitch
-1 Headphone jack
The mini-keyboard is quite handy, but it wears out, after five years, we find ourselves trying to cram like crazy on the key of C in order to listen to the sample that has just returned. It's expensive to change it. Bah, I took a master keyboard.
Same for the wheel-data, it wears (intensive anyway). Too bad, I use the plus / minus. Frankly, it's not annoying.
The rest is in the picture
Here, everything you need.
For sounds, effects, uh, we'll talk later.

UTILIZATION

The sequencer is an absolute simplicity, the control surface is very well thought out. Everything at hand. it goes very quickly.

It has two modes: pattern and song. The song is not a mode of stacking pattern, we construct a piece of a sudden copy (key "job", you type "11" for the sub-menu copy, "copy de1.1 on the track to 4.4 x (on which one is already wedged anyway, no need to select), and that's it) and delete (same principle).

The step is nickel. Galley is not to set a snare curly, and it rings.

The song mode also allows to link the song with a pattern, it makes us a total of 48 tracks. Personally, I have not yet needed.

The manual is good, no more, but I just forgot.
At noon on pc? arf ... I tried even persisted, but the ease of use, be, is not the same, nan.

We have twenty pieces kept in permanent memory, and that's good. on the other hand, when it is overloaded, the qy 700 tends to slow down a little (operations, eh, not his). Okay okay.

That said, there are flats compared to Cubase SX: even by coupling stepping over the edit mode the qy 700 is less refined. What is really missing? Edition effective (or rather precise) for movements of filters, volume, pan etc ... There is a little hassle, must repeat the movements of pitch bend and modulation before launching.

Other than that, it is the foot.

SOUNDS

Then the expander side, I would be short, it is to forget. GM instead of the old mold, it serves well as a notepad to remember a little beat / bass or chord progression, but that's it. The stereo outputs are used primarily for the metronome or to give it.

At least one or two synth sounds or save battery? yes ... no ...?
bah ...

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for five years, I will always, it moves me. If it snaps, I repeat one another.

I know the mpc sequencer, which is good, yeah yeah, but I prefer this one, that of Roland groovebox, but we can not compare the song mode is a stacking pattern (hell) .
As for the PC, all those clicks, double clicks, sub menus under sub menus, dialogs, confirmation makes me sick.

I did not think to look at his side before writing, but personal, to use the hypothesis, I will be ready hand ay 400 or 500E (I think I'd pay 3000 or 4000F).

In the end, a mere machine, almost as obvious and "natural" a piano or drums. ON, and go. The only thing regrettable is the edition of the movements of calves, but it's no big deal, it comes out anyway (even if the automation rebosser pc if we look for the absolute accuracy).
