I use this loupiotte for 1 year on two animals: a head with Peavey 6505 + V6 (clear channel), and V1 preamp Lag Spitfire TL1.
This lamp is used to add roundness to the sound too straight and shiny. Its gain is relatively mild, so that the lamp is not designed to add power and dynamics but to add more color to the sound. Ideal for clear sound (with nice mids) as it helps smooth (smooth) attack too frank. It will be comfortable coupled with other lamps more nervous as the Tung Sol 12AX7 (V1 on my Peavey head) or the Electro-Harmonix 12AX7EH. From experience, a head 6505 full JJ ECC83 tube is singularly lacking in power. The grain is superb, but its lack of dynamics. A couple must with other more powerful lamps to keep the margin on the gain ...
Quality is at the appointment because the factory JJ / Tesla is reputed to produce lamps with constant characteristics over time. Moreover, little noise on these lamps (short plate) and good reliability.
