I purchased the Pro Jr. at Guitar Center in Sherman Oaks, CA, but I had to return it because the rear I.D. plate said Blues Jr. instead of Pro Jr. minor detail, but - your know. I paid $250 at the store. I bought because I heard some blues/rock guitar players sweared by its tone. So I checked it out and fell for the great tone. For a small amp still very loud (15 watts).

The tone, absolutely. Plus, the overdrive tone. Over 7 you hear it and beyond that look out.

It's a bit noisy. Yeah, I know, all tube amps are. But this I read in printed reviews of this particular amp that the noise level a bit higher than one desires. But I had a Polytone 102 combo amp and being solid state that amp had some hissing noise.

SIMPLE - two knobs - well built. Light

Terrific TONE. Great portability. Too noisy for some of us, but tone makes up for it.

When I decided to buy my first electric guitar I did some research. I knew I wanted
a tube amp. I also am into Fender Strat playing blues guitarists. After a bit of
searching I found that the Pro Junior would be a good entry tube amp.

I bought my Fender Pro Junior when I bought my Fender Tex-Mex Strat in Mesa,
Az at a store called Millano's Music. I paid $200 for my floor model Pro Junior.

Good tone consider its size. It can get plenty loud enough to jam with my friends
in the garage. I have used it at a couple of talent shows and been plenty loud
enough.

I like this amp so much I bought a 2nd one off of Ebay ($250) and by using
my Danelectro Cool Cat Chorus I can get a great stereo sound with them.

Nothing. It does what I need in an amp.

The construction appears to be pretty solid. I have travelled with the amp and it
has taken some regular travel abuse. The 'tan' colored covering picks up the dirt
pretty easily.

For the money this is a great tube amp. If you need to get louder, then buy a
second one and run it through your chorus pedal setup or get a 2x12 cabinet
and hook it up to the amp.

The Pro Junior is a small tube amp (2 + 2 12AX7 EL84) with an HP or a Custom Fender Special Design Eminence 10 inch and given a power of about 15 watts. Level connections and settings, it can hardly be simpler, an input jack, a volume, one tone (note that they are both under 12! And yes, one notch higher than the ultimate Marshall Spinal Tap when well ...) and a switch on / off.
The HP is connected to the amplifier by a jack, so you can connect an external speaker bigger instead.
We find the amp in black or tweed, but so much rarer class, which is reminiscent of the magic of the 50's with the first field ...

UTILIZATION

An amplifier that even a drummer can run (I'm kidding, of course ...), is allowed to warm to just 30 seconds and already gives the sound, one that adjusts the volume, as on all Fender, is already becoming unmanageable in above 0.5, then the key and off you go ...

SOUNDS

That's where this little monster is shining and justifies its price around nine EUROBALL 600, which may discourage many. Of course, one must know what category it boxing. JR Pro is the featherweight champion, and even cover the post, in my humble opinion, most large combos latest generation hybrid that claim to revive the vintage sound.
Here we talk about efficiency. For the blues a little fat and r & r to fill (even the powerpop) is an amp that is very seductive: a really clear sound while still hot when moderate volume, and a crunch that goes up 'in overdrive well Rican soon as the force a little.
Most striking is the volume developed by the little beast, really impressive for his size. Beyond 4, it is already beginning to take off the wallpaper and pushed to block most of the transistor amplifier 100 watts may be ashamed ... We obtain very easily a grain whiskey blues, especially with a Les Paul type guitar humbuckers, and installation of ElectroHarmonix in amplification achieves a saturation level more shrill, always dosed volume of the guitar. Even stoner riffs, he is perfectly able to make you climb the walls!
In addition, it accepts the effects pretty well. I use it with a reverb spring of year two, which gives the whole its a great garage, surf rock boundary at low volumes, a CryBaby wah, a Boss DS2 and when I need more saturated.
My only regret for the tone knob that would be worth being a little more efficient. Anyway, the amp has a sound course really interesting, so ...

OVERALL OPINION

Smaller wattages in fender, we already know what happens ... And the Pro Junior, the top of its 10 pounds soaking wet, sets record in the category blues and garage rock tendencies, and for the studio again. I never had the opportunity to use it on stage, but I suppose, given its volume, that for small clubs, or being transplanted, it is doing wonderfully.
Its bargain price making it a very affordable amp, do not be impressed by its simplicity of design (like me until you have tried, I admit) and pounce as soon as one sees spend!
Amp charming and knows how to be heard, in short, a must!

All lamps 15w a channel 1 knob of Tone. period. not complicated rgler.hp 10 "eminence. no reverb.

UTILIZATION

One branch, and we play ... not making head with knobs! enough to have the microphones that go.

SOUNDS

Its super clear, dry and clear even though the low pass on the 10 ". Not saturated on the other hand. Room is played on a 2-3 12 ... I come not even do a crunch. I did change by asking a master after the preamp to push a bottom and it changes nothing. but with a maxon overdrive light is superb, good pedals is mandatory but suddenly the sound is REALLY sublime (in that I can I will put a tone badcat xtreme front). a priori the sound is better than a 12 "as in the blues junior.

OVERALL OPINION

Great sound neutral to receive high-end distortion. 15w but still too powerful in the apartment. it is quite possible to play with a drummer with this combo. The only drawback? the lack of reverb for those who bought my aiment.le least 40% was a real case. I will not change as a bad cat 5W or handicraft.

The Fender Pro Jr. is a small guitar combo amp that is tube based and quite basic in make up.  It has a single 10" speaker and delivers 15 watts of power, but don't let this fool you as it can really get loud.  It has a single 1/4 inch input on the front and beyond this there isn't too much to this amp.

UTILIZATION

Using the Fender Pro Jr. is just about as easy as it gets to use an amp as it has minimal setting controls.  It simply has two parameters - one for tone (EQ) and one for volume.  Even if you don't have any experience whatsoever with guitar amps, this is as basic as it gets and I can't imagine that anyone would have any problems working this amp.  There isn't much to say about the Fender Pro Jr. amp beyond this as it doesn't get any easier to use an amp than using this one.


SOUNDS

For a 15 watt amp, the Fender Pro Jr. has a great sound.  It can get incredibly loud for such a small amp and has a rich and full tone that we have come to expect from Fender amps.  Even though this obviously isn't the loudest or the best sounding Fender amp available, considering the size and the price, this is a great sounding amp.  I didn't expect that you would be able to get such a loud sound from this amp and I found that it sounded great with a variety of instruments including of course a Fender Strat or a Fender Rhodes, in addition to pretty much any Fender electric guitar or other good electric guitar.  While it doesn't have a set overdrive section, if you turn it up you will definitely get some nice sounding overdrive.


OVERALL OPINION

I've been using the Fender Pro Jr. for about a year or so and I do believe that it is the perfect practice amp.  While it will work great for recording and even for shows, it definitely works best for practice.  While it will work for a live show if you mic it or even if you turn it up, since it only has a single speaker there is only so far that you can take it if you are using it with drums and a full band set up.  The price is reasonable and this is an amp that I would definitely recommend to those looking for a small amp with a huge sound.
