UTILIZATION
This pedal is very deep, but is easy to jump right into. It can take a while to find "your tone", but I assure you, if delay is a part of that tone, it is in this box somewhere.
The special features of this box make it magical. 6 seconds of delay is more than nearly anyone needs. Stereo ins and outs are very handy. "Audio Tapping" is not quite as easy to use as a Tap Tempo function, but it works just the same! The looper is by far the best looper in this price class, with up to 40 seconds time available.
The TonePrint USB function is great in that one can download patches directly from TC and put them on the pedal. Most of the patches are designed by famous artists!
And the fact that the pedal can be switched from True Bypass to Buffered signal is invaluable!
SOUND QUALITY
I honestly don't think there is a better digital delay pedal out there. It is very convincing on the analog tones, although I can hear a bit of difference, and the digital tones are spot on. The ducking delay sound is really nice, as is the tape-delay - very lush sounds abound in this unit. This pedal sounds great directly into the amp, or in the effects loop.
OVERALL OPINION
I love how feature-packed this box is, but how intuitive it is as well. The sounds are spot on for a digital unit. The buffer/true bypass switch is the best pedal innovation of all time.
My one wish for this pedal is that a delay could run with the looper. Maybe if there was a TonePrint model that had a looper with 38 seconds and a couple of seconds of delay available - that would be a nice feature. I'll rate it a 9 because I wish for that feature, but it should be a 9.9, really!
