UTILIZATION

Very simple configuration.
The settings are responsive and accurate.

SOUND QUALITY

I mostly play punk rock / hardcore.
I have a peavey ultra head + (which the passage is unknown, but hard!) And I was looking for a good distortion pedal to get a big sound when I did not play on my gear.
So I opted for this pedal, which on any amp, even a transistor, comes a warm sound and send a puree.

In terms of sound quality, this pedal does not lace, even with a low gain, impossible to make crunché, for it was against a very rich and thick overdrive for rock. spend the first quarter, we attack the distortion and even at 3/4 was a powerful distortion, hot, music, and do not drool. amount in the gain still has true I do not see any difference.

To the sound palette, in addition to the 3-band equa which is super effective, there is the adjustment of the ISF, which shifts the frequency spectrum, to think (I did say "make believe") has a sound typed U.S. (mesa) and its typed English "marshall"

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 2 years now, and I am super happy.
like I said I play mostly when I have to play on equipment that is not mine. Where I've been impressed with it I managed to ring a peavey bandit as a hi gain amp.
In addition with ca metal shell, it is super solid.
I had quite a distortion pedal (metal muff, boss metalcore, boss mt2 ...) and since the blackstar, I have them all sold. then of course it is not the same budget, but buried all the blackstar.
