« Very good but typical saturation »

UTILIZATION
Simple
SOUND QUALITY
This is an excellent distortion pedal, the warm, creamy, bright, bold, although relatively defined. It should be noted that it respects the properties of the guitar but the amp, also rendering depend heavily on other links in the chain. The good point is its warm and natural grain, nothing to do with some pedals in its synthetic and artificial. It is, however, its fairly typical, as I find it sometimes lacks a little bite, it is closer to the sound that Petrucci sound really metal, aggressive and sharp, what it is however supposed to be dedicated. Also I prefer on my Jackson Soloist which tends to strengthen the edge and defining where on my ESP horizon featuring EMG pickups sound swells a little in the midrange, and loses a little biting and sharp, despite the settings and ISF. The record is obviously of excellent quality, you can buy with your eyes closed, especially if you want a fat and saturates generously warm, but for those seeking a more matte, less bright, more biting, aggressive and sharp, it is not certain that it suits your needs.
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for two years, I once owned a Boss metal zone I threw a DOD I broke and not worth a nail, a Dunlop Fuzz, which served more to decorate the room rehearsal that something else, a Marshall Shred Master who was very decent for its price, a line 6 Pod a price / quality ratio remarkable (at least the old ones), a danelectro I gave because I did not know what to do a MP2 Ada I also sell to who cares, an Ibanez Tube King and of course the saturation of my Peavey Classic 30. I also tried a lot of pedals, Marshall Guvnor (not bad for its price), Boss pedals all the more atrocious than the other etc ... Among all the Blackstar is what I tried to better the Pattern Pod correct my first generation, who just had this grain duller, biting and I defined a research dedicated to metal saturation, and surprisingly natural for the simulation.
