« My best distortion pedal! »
Published on 07/04/13 at 07:50Distortion pedal Maxon, blah blah, I think we know, four knobs: Gain, Treble, Bass, Volume.
Simple and effective.
Pedal a big poile good but it's solid.
UTILIZATION
Simple to learn, we quickly found a good sound, it sounds quasiement on all settings, just think readjusting the volume after touching the equation.
SOUND QUALITY
Here we are! Huge, monstrous, any distortion pedals I've had or tried: the best! Well then, I have not tested everything either, it is probably some one who is better or the same but it's very very good stuff.
Goodies:
- A gain range from slight crunch to big very heavy distortion
- Of équallo knobs very effective once you can load in medium or dug for a more "metal".
- A pedal that does not blow! finally! so distortion breath as asthma bison when you push the gain here is not the case, the pedal is silent when you do not touch anything, it's more qu'apréciable!
- And finally, finally, a reserve of phe-no-me-nal volume (59dB it seems), honestly we can multiply by 2 the volume of the amp.
Generally, the sound is alive, very natural, a marshall amp channel you'd think!
Cons:
- Hard to find, no a priori, except for the lack of a quibble knob medium more but it's really to quibble!
OVERALL OPINION
Very expensive new (around 200 €), but worth in occas (sometimes less than 100 €).
This pedal too little known, is worth far more, more publicized.
Maxon is a really good company that knows how to pedal.
Recommend priority to people looking for a quiet pedal for rock or hard rock (not heavy metal stain, whatever ...), and who are tired of the triffouier switch or knobs for hours.
