UTILIZATION
Manuel is not bad: it contains some examples of settings to try their hand at the beginning.
The knobs really affect the sound, which allows users to search its setting fairly thin.
Although ultimately, it ends quickly with a few knobs thoroughly.
SOUND QUALITY
Then the sound: I bought this pedal several years ago to boost my Fender Hotrod Deluxe. With my Fender Telecaster Highway 1, it sounded bof ... I bought a Gibson Flying V Faded, and it sounded bof still quite rough.
So, I ignored for a long time ... And recently, I replaced the HP's Hotrod by a V30, and Retube all ...
There, it was a vamp: OD2 canal, above the gain of the amplifier, we get a fairly clean sound, not bad for the lead. But where it truly monstrous is the clean channel. With the Flying V, max gain, bass almost at max, treble to 2 / 3 and the volume to half, you get a super tight grain, very clean. Marshall typed enough (it approximates a JCM2000 I find her, but much cleaner). It's really a super nice distortion, ranging far enough (but not High gain). In addition, the clean channel, not a fart breath when you touch anything!
Basically to summarize: If the HP of the amp is musty, like mine on the Hotrod, it will give poor results. on the other hand, with the V30 (I tested with that), it gets really phenomenal! I hesitated to sell it and buy a marshall head like, now it's past! I'll buy a 2x12 extension cabinet with V30 in (closed-back), history of winning still low.
OVERALL OPINION
Bought it 3 or 4 years ago, I use it really for 1 month.
Really good pedal, fairly quiet even gain in depth. The distortion has a very close texture, harmonics come easily, and the pedal may well boost the sound volume with the volume pot really works.
