Quote: What are the effects or types of effects available?
It is a combination of a Envlop Filter (Envelope Follower, not [also known as VCA] as stated in the previous opinion of Nedz) and a distortion, all, drive through two 12AX7 type lamps.

Quote: What technology is used? (Analog, digital, tube ...)
Good electric candle ...

Quote: Are they edited? Via an editor Mac / PC?
Of course not. That said, given the complexity of the latent effect, it must be admitted that interfacing with memories and possibilities of control would be a twelve o'clock ÉNOOOOOORME advantage.
Would stay again.

Quote: What is the connection? (Audio / MIDI)
Only the very basic: 1 In, 1 Out, and a power connector.
CAUTION: This is a bit special. This is an old connector to HP at Phillips 30 years ago. This type of connector looks like ... nothing really. THIS IS just a plug with a pin on one side and a sort of plate on the other.
Genre symbol of the division with two points less.
As mentioned in the previous opinion, this connector has had the unfortunate idea to be placed on the side of the pedal while Jack connector, them, have quietly arranged on the rear of the chassis.
Result, impossible to put the pedal against another. If I have a bad word to say for EHX is the strange insistence that they will absolutely want to put their connectors anyhow, so there is room inside to place them elsewhere . This pair from recess with a volume pedal instead of guilty.
They are large and take too much space on your pedalboard, and in addition, they prohibit an optimum placement due to a lack of common sense evident in the choice of the position of said connector. Bof ... Never mind. A screwdriver, a soldering iron + solder pump, a drill and a drill bit 13, and basta, in an hour, it moves the bully at the back of the machine, and the problem is solved. ;)
This is what I did on my first-Tube Zipper, and I will do something in the m ^ m on the second kind, except that I replace the original slot with a more "standard "Boss way. Not that it is better, but only that this type of connector is slightly smaller in diameter which means a drilling easier. Because, unfortunately, the "sheet" of the case is actually a quality aluminum with a suspect who bore very difficult because it is too malleable. He makes sausages instead of drill correctly. The ports of origin were clearly bored with the cookie cutter before the formatting of the "box". You have been warned.

Quote: Is this a rack or rack-mount model?
If my explanation had not yet sufficiently clear étées, well ... Matte photo ;)...

UTILIZATION

Quote: The general configuration is it simple?
Well, nothing very complicated, just remember to put the preamp PRE-effect, not post.

Quote: Editing sound effects or is it easy?
This is where it thickens a little.
The parameters are very sensitive and the slightest change can drastically send you away from the desired result. It goes even further if you change often guitar on stage, because the slightest deviation sensitivity microphones little, too, you assert a hair pulling in order.
The effect is great, but it is so sensitive that I have not been forced to buy a second tier to the problem. Indeed, unless all Notter very accurately, see, paste Gomet colored knobs on the locations to better navigate it quickly becomes périeux to change settings between songs.
So, I chose to put my two T-Zipper in a respective loop of my patch / switch (a GCX) and basta. A third would be welcome, but I'll start seriously running out of room in my rack (20U one in which I have mounted 3 sliding plate to fix my foot, all controlled by 2 GCX and a Ground Control Pro).
So, no, editing the sound is not very easy, especially for those who have never tasted the envelop-filter earlier stages.
Some basic knowledge of sound synthesis is more to fully exploit the T-Zipper.

Quote: The manual is clear and sufficient? ...
Could not be more clear, despite a higher volume than light (a single A4 sheet folded in half as with most other products of the brands).
The few examples given graphs can be done by hand by clearing practice.
Nice.
on the other hand, for those who want more information, distrust. Britney Spears language only.

Digress on the power supply:
My first T-Zipper had a "slight" problem, since the transformer to toast after 2 hours of use.
After verification and measures, I perceived that the amperage recommended by EHX in its manual is too low.
See my explanation in the topic "Wouw burst up serious!" (Post # 4).

SOUND QUALITY

Quote: Effects are they effective, responsive and realistic enough?
Effective, we can say without a shadow of a doubt. It's funk to death. Listen to Stevie Salas solo or with his band Nickelbag (nan nan, not the pimply teen pseudorock dung) (http://www.steviesalas.com/) and his sidekick bassist TM Stevens (http://www. tmstevens.com / news /), and you should quickly understand what is involved here. See Settlement George Clinton in his last mischief ;)...

Quote: Which instruments do you use?
Electric guitar, bass, Lap Steel, Theremin (Voui Voui ...), Synths (Micro Modular), and m ^ m beats of drums ;)... Classrooms across! No complaints!

In summary, I use a lot of filtering effects of all kinds. Guyatone Wah Rocker 2 (Miam!!) AdrenaLinn 2 (Touch Wah Re Miam !!!), my GT-Pro (rather yummy too), Trinity in our brother Jacques (; OP .. this is also an alien pedal), and of course, the Wah more "traditional" so to speak, in this case, a Bad Horsie 2 535Q and an old family ... All have their own tone and of course, their own expression. But the T-Zipper remains one of my favorites. ... M'fin, m ^ m time, I love them all as :-/...
Anyway, if you like to be surprised and if you like funk death, go for it!

OVERALL OPINION

Quote: How long have you use it?
About 1 ½ years.

Quote: What is so special that you like best?
The sound! Side "out of control" that Nedz described as "volcanic" but still very musical. The color mixing well filthy own filter + Disto tube.
The side funk pure juice.

Quote: What is so special that you like the least?
See above. Electric power supply side is not his strong point ...

Quote: Have you tried many other models before buying it?
Again, see above. Without wishing to play it, I have a very good knowledge of what kind of effect (I've also built some m ^ m me in my youth ;)...). So I feel pretty comfortable in my shoes to talk knowingly ;)...

Quote: How would you rate the quality / price?
Excellent quality, either, but the problem at EHX is the price that invariably leads me to the second hand market or abroad.

Quote: With experience, you do again this choice? ...
Without a doubt. But see dizez M'ssieur EHX, something like that but with memories and south, it would be really cool! ;)...
