 Hi, my name is Brenda and my band is B4given. We are a Christian band. I am trying to learn how to set up a recording studio in my home. I'm using Cakewalk's Music Creator 3. I have a Peavey PA System that I'm using but have found out that it creates too much noise. So...before I start purchasing stuff, thought it would be a good idea to learn what I should be using first. I'm also on a very strict budget.
I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone here and acquiring some know-how!
You need a sound card that has inputs and outputs called an interface that will work with cakewalk. It will probably be USB, firewire, express card or some sort of internal insert card. You can get everything you need at www.proaudiostar.com for great prices with free tech support. Good luck recording!

Definitely take a closer look at the soundcard and soundcard options - oh, and congrats on deciding to set up your own studio
