I have the option of getting an old fostex CR200 for CD mastering.

I'm creating a mini home studio for my own stuff, and I will have a mackie 1640 mixer w/ firewire with raw files going to the computer, and the mix going to some CD recording device. Is this device high quality/ I noticed it is 44.1Khz, is that low? or normal. Their new one is 96.1khz or something, would that be a noticeable difference?

For the price i will get it for it would hardly be an investment. I just want it to be somewhat good.

thanks. hope that wasn't too vagaue. as long as it can brun an audio CD at pro quality for a not real studio.
