TopicPosted on 01/31/2007 at 20:52:32Pre-amp newbie!
I use Pro Tools LE 6.9 with MBox 1 on a G5 and I'm currently searching for ways to get a warmer, less "digiti-fied" sound. I was thinking of trying a pre-amp to use with the Mbox but I don't know how they work, which ones are good and affordable, or if they're worth getting into anyway.
I do nothing but live acoustic recording for all my tracks (I plan on getting into midi very soon once my RAM is up to speed) and I want to get a richer, more satisfying sound.
Thanks to whoever can offer me some advice!

begin with a cheap (but good) behringer mic2200.
learn to use that before considering a more hi-q preamp.
