1 PA system in need of a monitor
Hi I'm not a sound tech at all, I'm a musician.
I wanted to ask, I have a Fender Passport (small) PA system that I use in a hotel setting to play and sing with another guy singing and playing small conga's, can I possibly split one side (right side output speaker) channel with either a A/B-Y switch or possibly a Y (two female inputs to a male output) and hook a small speaker to use as a monitor? If so, would a A/B-Y switch box work, or do they make the connection I'm discribing as a Y connector?
I don't use high volume and the higher I go to hear myself, I'm to loud for the audience.
The Fender Passport I believe doesn't have anythink I can use for an output (that I could use for a monitor) besides the speakers themselves, although I'm not positive, I don't have the system with me at this time.
Thanks in advance

I'm posting a reply to my post. It worked very well. I used a speaker that didn't match, so I had to adjust the overall sound a lot, but, I'm going to try and find a matching speaker that comes with the Fender Passport PA system.
