I was looking for a card that combines performance, reliability and ease of use.
On paper this card is impressive

UTILIZATION

The facility is already there but can fix the quirks:
- Adjustments to be made in winamp so the sound does not cut
- Problems of its cuts in several applications.
- Set a poor microphone to talk on teamspeak or other msn is hell
- The manual is a bit light.

Especially annoying thing is that I bought Gigastudio 3 and I realized that the Emu 1212m is not compatible with the GSIF drivers
Ultimately very disappointed.

GETTING STARTED

The drivers are not stable precisely because I think the card is too recent.
In my opinion this card will be top in a year when the drivers will allow a better compatibility with different software.
Ah yes, because the card does not work with standard GSIF, it must be content with Rewire, downright impossible to properly configure and especially without mute.
Latency can be impressive (4ms) but again with my config (not super tough but correct) I can only work hard to 20ms with 8 tracks played at the same time without having to crack and other noise when I 11 ms no problem with a Delta 44 from M audio in the same conditions (borrowed from a friend), find the error?

I use Cubase SX 2, Gigastudio 3.

OVERALL OPINION

Since two weeks of intensive use I am sorry to sell it to buy another card because it is not for my pc, is too young to be really interesting.

The value for money is not bad but I prefer to turn to Echo or M-Audio cards that are reasonably priced and at least we know it works nickel.
