Value For Money :
Excellent
I was looking for a microphone to get a home studio, suited to the voice and diverse musical instruments (violin, guitar, flute, mandolin, and even drums)
This is a condenser microphone diphragme double transistor, used in three switchable directional characteristics (cardioid, omnidirectional and eight). The B2 Pro is also equipped with a 10 dB attenuation and a low-cut filter.
The microphone comes with a suspension and a Bonette in a briefcase (Bonette is a bit overwhelmed still in the briefcase!)
At this price, I do not know better!
OVERALL OPINION
I use micro B2 PRO 2 for 2 to 3 months. I bought in February 2005 (the first) and March 2005 (the second).
I greatly appreciate the accuracy and sensitivity of B2 PRO. I recorded voice and mostly rich harmonic instruments (violin, bandoneon, percussion) with an exceptional record. I do not see how we can find a huge blow to the microphone (at least not know how to set a chain of sound recording). Personally, I use a console for now and a YAMAHA acquisition interface M-AUDIO 2-input (24bits/96K) connected to a laptop.
I had previously used as dynamic microphones SENNHEISER (obviously not designed for this use!), And there is no comparison. I mainly based on the opinions found on the Internet to make my choice (including Audiofanzine) and I'm not disappointed.
The price / quality ratio is excellent.
I will complete my home studio for a more suitable acquisition interface with eight inputs and very low noise preamps. I will have to acquire additional microphones: this will almost certainly B2 PRO!
