Micro Multipurpose particular specialty: nothing scares him!
Technology electrostatic wide membrane, a major specialty of the brand.
Dual-diaphragm capsule after the K 103.
2 directional (omni & cardioid) with switchable directional possiblilité other 3 (wide cardioid, hypercardioid and ficgure in 8) with the optional remote control.
Pre-attenuation and switchable high-pass filter.
Very low self noise (8 dB A).
High SPL (140 dB).
Perfs well above average ...
OVERALL OPINION
This is due to the use that I have done some time ago in another studio, amazed, I decided to fry a couple (like that, there f'ront p'têt of small ...).
Ben is the micro of the ball, and frankly, considering the price, there is no reason to do without it!
Quality / price ratio: unbeatable. Neumann is the modern, new generation, and even if it's not like the "old", it's still awfully neat.
Whatever the use to which it in fact meets the beast now, and what a presence! Its clear, close, detailed to the extreme, a great job, sculpture fine. But be careful placement, it does not forgive: To get the most out of the beast, he must find his place. It takes a little time, but the reward is at the end.
Background noise does not exist, sensitivity to breath when I think we will have to compress behind in some cases: what a waste.
I know the Neumann, I have handled hundreds of U87, U67 and (my favorites), and the whole series of TLM. This is excellent, its rendering is very "professional", frankly, it has little to envy his elders. I prefer it even to U87 for some female vocals and sax, it said.
I would glue a 10/10 because it deserves it, and also because one of my predecessors had the audacity to note a product without knowing it. It is frankly not very clever.
